We presented our second conference panel of the year at Intersections the Australian Women’s History Network Conference at the Queen Victoria Women’s Centre in Melbourne on 31 March, 2016. Our panel theme was Transnational exchange and women’s leadership. Tanya Fitzgerald presented on Globalising ‘home’: Women home scientists at the University of New Zealand 1911-1961. Caroline Jordan discussed the activities of the Carnegie Corporation of New York in Fostering Women Modernists as Leaders in the 1930s and 1940s and Diane Kirkby presented a paper written in collaboration with Vera Mackie on Women leading America’s Cold War in the Asia-Pacific. Vera also spoke on the plenary panel at the end of the conference.
