Kiera Lindsay and Tanya Fitzgerald at the launch of the law&history journal
Congratulations to Diane Kirkby in her role as editor of the law&history journal on the appearance of the latest issue. Tanya Fitzgerald launched it at the Australian Women’s History Network conference in Melbourne. The special issue, guest-edited by Terry Threadgold, is on the theme Gender, Time and Place: Intersections between Law and History and Diane has contributed an article to it: Neither ‘Militarism’ nor ‘Patriotic Motherhood’: Gender, Law and Citizenship in a Nation at War, Australia 1914-1918.
law&history is a fully refereed journal of original research published by the Australian and New Zealand Law and History Society. Diane welcomes submissions on any law and history-related topic, but is particularly keen to publish material on Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific. If you have any enquiries or would like to submit to the journal, please contact The Editor, Diane Kirkby, La Trobe University: firstname.lastname@example.org
Kiera also has a new book out. The Convict’s Daughter is a fascinating piece of historical ‘faction’ set in colonial Sydney. Congratulations Kiera!
